From skipping breakfast to thriving with energy and menopause confidence

This busy working mum came to me feeling overwhelmed and fatigued. Mornings were a rush and breakfasts were missed causing energy crashes by mid-morning. Juggling the demands of work and family her health took a backseat. On top of that, as she approached menopause, she wanted to understand how nutrition and lifestyle adjustments could support her through this life stage. Her goals were clear: build sustainable habits, improve her energy, and gain the knowledge needed to navigate menopause with confidence and vitality.

The Journey & Outcome

We started by identifying small, realistic changes she could make to her morning routine. Knowing her mornings were busy, we worked on quick and nourishing breakfast ideas like overnight chia Pudding, smoothies, and grab-and-go options that she could prep in advance. These solutions not only saved her time, they fitted in seamlessly with her hectic lifestyle.

Education became a cornerstone of our sessions. We explored menopause-specific nutrition, focusing on foods rich in calcium, magnesium, and omega-3s to support bone and heart health. We also discussed the benefits of certain types of exercise during this phase of life.

To ensure success we set tailored goals together. This collaborative approach gave her ownership of the process and made it easier for her to commit to the changes. Regular check-ins provided the accountability and support she needed to stay on track, while also allowing us to adjust the plan to fit her evolving needs. Over time, she began to see breakfast as a non-negotiable part of her routine and started involving her kids in preparing meals on weekends, turning it into a fun family activity.

The transformation has been impressive. She now eats breakfast most mornings. This has eliminated her mid-morning energy dips and improved her focus throughout the day. Meal prep has become a weekly habit reducing stress and making mornings smoother. By involving her kids in cooking on weekends, she’s not only created meaningful fun family moments but also modelled healthy habits for them to follow.

With her newfound understanding of menopause nutrition and lifestyle strategies she now feels empowered to take charge of her health. She’s more confident in her ability to make choices that support her long-term well-being, from incorporating nutrient-rich foods into her diet to prioritising exercise. This busy mum is now thriving with increased energy, balanced moods and the knowledge to navigate menopause with vitality and strength.
